    Election polling for The Rest Is Politics

    May – July 2024

    JL Partners was the polling partner for the UK’s most listened to podcast. JLP provided TRIP with 10 waves of a 2,000 sample of the UK public to contribute to TRIP’s election coverage.
    The result was one of the most accurate polls of the 2024 cycle in the UK consistently showing the Labour lead over the Conservative to be in the low double digits (as opposed to the 20s) even as early as May.

    An annual dataset on global risk perceptions providing an in-depth view of how G7 and B(R)ICS countries as well as Ukraine view global risks. The research anchors the Munich Security Conference every year, driving insight on stage, for the most senior policymakers on the globe, and in the global media ahead of the conference.

    2019 UK GENERAL Election Advisory

    JLP provided bespoke election advisory to a variety of businesses including leading financial institutions and hedge-funds. Using a combination of JLP’s own modelling, expertise from the team and Advisory Board, JLP presented outcome probabilities and scenarios, consequences and impacts, and advice on bespoke issues.

    Bayer initiated the Farmer Voice survey, designed to uncover the opinions of farmers from across eight countries worldwide to hear from farmers themselves. The Farmer Voice analyses the challenges faced by farmers today and their hopes for the future.

    JLP polled detailed responses from farmers on the ground, surveying 800 farmers equally split between Australia, Brazil, China, Germany, India, Kenya, Ukraine and the United States – giving a spread across 6 continents.

    SSE Energy UK representative audience polling and insights

    November 2023

    We conducted polling commissioned by SSE, the leading UK-based electricity infrastructure company, using a UK representative audience. It provided important insights into public attitudes ahead of the Chancellor’s Autumn 2023 Statement, which was expected to include a number of energy-related announcements. The survey also underpinned much of SSE’s public campaigns, with SRP (stacked multi-level regression and post-stratification) modelling also giving the client seat-level intelligence.

    2021-present

    For the past two years, JLP has been the opinion research provider for Ofqual, the UK's qualifications regulator. As well as providing trusted research insights, we have assisted Ofqual with flexible strategic advice as they transitioned out of the pandemic, returning UK qualifications to pre-pandemic normal.

    For the Centre for Social Justice's Two Nations report, JLP conducted a major programme of quantitative and qualitative research. This included a 6,000 sample poll – with a 3,000 nationally representative sample and a 3,000 sample of the most deprived – a hard-to-reach group that is extremely under-researched. Coverage of the polling's findings received substantial coverage in national media, including front-page reports in the Sunday Times and Sunday Telegraph.

    Polling for the economic and social issues think tank, Onward

    JLP has provided a range of services for leading economic and social issues projects by the think tank, Onward. Covered extensively in national news and promoted by senior politicians, examples of projects include views on the idea of a Great British National Service, voters’ attitudes towards Net Zero, and an investigation into social fabric at community level across England.

    In support of the UK’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, JLP provided urgent and regular public opinion message testing and wider polling on SMEs, as well as hotspot research in areas most affected by the pandemic.

    The JL Partners team gained a detailed impression of the client’s reputation in seven global markets and benchmarked against selected competitors in those markets amongst a senior professionals in a number of key sectors. This gave a data-led foundation to inform engagement strategies with future talent.

    JLP also brought their expertise on international energy issues to ask the most incisive and relevant questions possible for the audience across different countries.

    7 country survey on online safety for the GLOBAL non-profit project liberty

    February 2024

    An international survey of 14,220 adults aged 18 to 74 years from October 11 to 20, 2023. Participants were recruited from seven countries: Brazil, China, France, India, South Africa, the United Kingdom and the United States of America. The research powered global coverage for Project Liberty’s campaigns on technology and child safety.
